“Hootie”

Description

An immature Great Horned Owl observed on a tree branch after fledging at Tide Views Preserve. They are also known as a Tiger Owl or Hoot Owl. With its long earlike tufts, intimidating yellow-eyed stare, deep hooting voice, they are the quintessential owl of storybooks.
