The St. Augustine Lighthouse, opened in 1874, sits 165b feet above sea level overlooking the Matanzas Bay and Atlantic Ocean from Anastacia Island. The Fresnel lens is 12 feet tall and 6 feet across. There are 219 steps to the top.
