These photos were taken during 2 separate walks through Bird Island Park. This is a lovely nature park behind the Ponte Vedra Library in St. Johns County, with walking trail, boardwalk, a maze, and gazebo. A playground and picnic tables are also available. The small island in the large lake is home to anhinga, herons and other birds. Canada geese and goslings, turtles, and ducks enjoy the park as well. I love the natural beauty of this location and the wildlife. Shot with a Canon 5D Mark III with 100 to 400 zoom lens.
