What’s your name and what fills your time?
My name is Abbe Moody and I sing and play acoustic guitar. Originally from Atlanta, GA, our family has lived in scenic Jacksonville for 35 years! My husband Art and I raised our children here: Ryan is 37, Alyssa is 29, and Emily is 25. We enjoy spending time with our adorable 9 year old grandson Ethan!
Anything special going on for this summer?
I’m looking forward to entertaining residents at several local assisted living and memory care communities, including Grand Living at Tamaya, Cypress Village, Beach House, etc.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
I’m busy writing a biography about my famous Father, Freddie Miller! He was a pioneer in local television in Atlanta from 1950-1990. My Dad hosted and produced a talent show, “Stars of Tomorrow” for 17 years, and then he hosted Georgia Championship Wrestling on TBS in the late ‘70’s and ‘80’s. I plan to retire in the next few years to relax and travel domestically as well as internationally!
What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?
Currently, I am employed as a part time Shuttle Bus Driver at Grand Living at Tamaya. I transport the residents to medical appointments as well as interesting outings!
How do you like living on the First Coast?
My family and I still love the beaches, ocean, weather, and delicious fresh seafood available on the First Coast! The best part of living here is having so many good friends to spend time with to enjoy the variety of activities available😎
Anything else that you would like to tell the community?
The local music scene is amazing! Please support our talented musicians whenever you can. Thank you🙏🙏
