Tell us a little about your background story and how you got here?
I spent summers at my Uncle’s house in Jax Beach and moved here when I was 16 (1968). Went to Fletcher and then FJC and UNF. I was lucky to have a good mentor in Terry McKendree (owner of California Surf Shop & Surfboard Revolution) who was kind enough to invite me to be on the Rick team. This was back when the California Surf Shop was still open. Developed some great friends, Charlie Bullard, Mark Naumann and Joe & Brad Roland and many others. I left in 1982 and moved to Atlanta (lucky life from there and proud of it). I moved back after meeting the woman of my dreams, Eve Baker, and just living the life from there.
Anything special going on for this summer?
Rest and play, and a little travel somewhere cool. Working on Real Estate Projects and focusing on music projects and surfing.
Any passion projects or focus for the summer?
Be a better paddler. More golf.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
I’ve skied (snow) since 1970, went with the Utica Club to Beach Mountain and fell in love. Skied all over the world since then, I hope to be on the snow a lot this winter. Working with a band, hoping to be gigging soon.
What keeps you busy these days?
My business and interest in my music keep me quite busy.
What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?
I love to scuba dive and I play the guitar.
How do you like living on the First Coast?
Love it!!! Full of life, waves and the best beaches. I love the people of the First Coast!

I met Chris while working at Billys Boathouse, what a sweet guy! Then he married a long time high school friend Eve Baker. I love them together!
