Art In The Carden

Celebrate creativity in all its forms during the Art in the Garden Festival at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. This vibrant, 2-day event is your chance to experience intriguing art, curated music and extraordinary living pictures all within our lush gardens.

Stroll through the park enjoying and appreciating interactive art from live sketches and painting, to muralists and chalk drawings. Listen to live music in the open air and shop local vendors. Support local businesses and vendors by bringing home your own art and goods. Complimentary pick up of purchased products is available as you’re exiting the Zoo.  A unique selection of tasty food and refreshing drinks will also be available for purchase.

Admission is included with daily Zoo tickets. Tickets must be purchased online, in advance.

A ZOOLights Lantern Experience
Discover a mesmerizing fusion of lanterns, wildlife and wild places as over 1,000 intricate lanterns come to life. From the towering cherry blossoms of Asia to the native panthers and manatees of Florida, each lantern tells a unique story highlighting diverse cultures around the world.

As the sun sets, the Zoo transforms into a magical wonderland, filled with vibrant colors and enchanting light.

Prepare to be amazed as these stunning lanterns transport you to far-off lands and introduce you to fascinating creatures.

Experience the magic of the event as we celebrate the interconnectedness of culture, creativity and conservation.

Colors of the Wild will be held on select nights November through February, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

*Norman Studio Tours

Monthly on the third Saturday of the month, starting from Jan 20, 2024,  11 am to 3 pm.  Arlington’s century-old Norman Studios, now a museum dedicated to silent film history, is ready for public tours after major renovations.

The former silent film studio opened in 1916 is now a National Historic Landmark. Admission is free.

*Jacksonville Farmers Market

Open every day dawn to 6pm except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The market closes early on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

With a wide variety of fresh produce, seafood and other culinary delights, Jacksonville Farmers Market offers a unique shopping experience for any age. Enjoy the open air and festive market atmosphere as you stroll each of the outdoor bays. The Jacksonville Farmers Market is known best for its featured ethnic and imported specialty items that are not only unique but sometimes also rare and typically hard to find. If you’re looking strictly for locally-grown food, be sure to inquire with vendors at this market. Some offerings are not grown by local farmers.
