Challenge 22 Walk

Challenge 22 Walk

Seawalk Pavilion, Jacksonville Beach, FL

Come out to Jacksonville Beach join Ocean Beaches American Legion Post 129, 5th District Riders and our community for a walk, party and a day of camaraderie to help End Veteran Suicides at our Challenge 22 Walk set for March 23, 2024 at the Jacksonville Beach Pavilion, 75 First Street North.

The goal is to have a great time while raising awareness of a tragic epidemic of 22 suicides per day due to PTSD – and raising funds for veteran suicide prevention partners. We are asking everyone to register to walk for $22 to honor the 22 lives that are taken every day due to veteran suicide.

Registration & sign-in will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a 2.2 mile walk on the beach at 9 a.m. from the Pavilion Lawn to Oceanfront Park and back.

When our walkers return, our ceremony will begin, with guest speakers, food, vendors, and music from the Matt Altman Band, along with children’s carnival games on the Pavilion Lawn – with more activities and fun continuing at American Legion Post 129 after the event.
