PAStA Fine Art Gallery Mixed Media Watercolor Workshop

The Professional Artists of St. Augustine (PAStA) Fine Art Gallery, of 214 Charlotte Street, St. Augustine, announce a mixed media workshop with Linda F. Hawkins, a PASTA member and locally recognized instructor of multiple mediums.

The workshop will be held Monday, January 15, 2024 at the gallery on 214 Charlotte Street in downtown St. Augustine. The workshop will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m., starting promptly at 4 pm. The cost is $65 and includes all taxes, fees, and materials. Sign up at www.pastagalleryart.com/events.

“This class will make you comfortable with using mixed media to create a beautiful and colorful hummingbird,” Linda F. Hawkins, artist member, and workshop instructor, said.

Using watercolor, paint pens, and collage, students will also learn how to transfer the provided photo reference onto the watercolor paper, and paint negatively for interesting backgrounds. No previous painting or drawing experience is necessary.

Linda has been involved in the arts from a young age. She has a degree in media advertising arts, a BFA from the University of North Florida and a Master of Arts from the University of Florida. Linda pursued a career in the advertising arts for a myriad of companies, and as her own business providing clients with art from concept to finish. She has also been involved on the other side of the canvas, working with art leagues, galleries, and watercolor societies in Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. She has been a member of the Virginia Beach Arts Center, South Carolina Watercolor Society, Gibbes Museum Art Center, Bethune Arts Center, Dahlonega Art League, Georgia Watercolor Society, Atlanta Artist Club. Currently, she is a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society, the Art Guild of Orange Park, Jacksonville Coalition for the Visual Arts, and the Florida Watercolor Society.

The Art Galleries of St. Augustine (AGOSA) makes up the diverse art galleries and museums located in St. Augustine, Florida. Each one showcases outstanding collections of local, regional, national & international artists.

Q; HOW DO I GET STARTED ON THE ARTWALK?
A: You can start the free, self-guided Artwalk tour at any AGOSA Member Gallery, and see as few or as many as you’d like between 5-9PM on First Fridays. Most galleries feature changing monthly exhibits, refreshments and live music. Or tour our fine galleries throughout the month using our brochure and Artwalk map!
