Please join Beaches Museum on Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the annual Springing the Blooms celebration. Taking place throughout the Museum’s Pablo Historical Park, Springing the Blooms will feature horticultural exhibits, family-friendly activities, educational lectures, and live children’s music on the historic Foreman’s House front porch. During this event, the Beaches Train Club will run the Florida East Coast model train.

Springing the Blooms will feature a lecture series starting with “Datil Peppers” presented by Troy Main and Scott Murray of Mayhem Datil Pepper Farms at 11:30 a.m. followed by “On Monarchs” featuring Master Gardener Ginger Ayer at 12:30 p.m. The event will also include a quilt raffle by Coastal Quilters.

Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam

8th Annual  Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam throws down to raise funds for our community.  North Florida’s biggest BBQ competition returns to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds on Jan. 11 th.

Where there’s smoke, there’s great BBQ! Presented in partnership with Title Sponsor MasterCraft Builder Group, the Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam returns to St. Johns County Fairgrounds for an epic day of barbeque, chili, chowda, music, cars, and more.

Shaun Taunton & Shane Platten, the Thunder Buddies are your hosts for the evening. First come, first serve sign-in sheet.

Each participant gets a 3-song set, Shaun & Shane can support with bass and drums.
A variety of local singers and musicians participate in this fantastic night of talent.

Everyone is welcome, spectators are welcome, you do not need to participate to have a great time. Come in and catch the show!
