Mike Wawzynski
I’m a licensed insurance agent and I own Southern Mailing Solutions which does print adverting for insurance agencies in Florida. I also have a hobby business Wazees.com, where I design and manufacture engine parts for high performance cars.
I grew up in Neptune Beach and graduated from Fletcher High School. My father was in the Navy and was stationed at Mayport when I was four years old. I have lived here since. I learned how to surf and skateboard. Like most kids at the beach, we had to be home when the street lights turned on. We didn’t have cell phones and computers so we built tree forts in the woods and shot BB guns. Everybody knew to bring the coconut scented surf board wax, but nobody brought sunscreen. Fast forward to 2024, my go to outfit is a t-shirt and surf shorts.
Passions and projects for summer:
Building a Porsche DP 935 K2 which is my top dream car. It’s a street legal version of a slant nose Porsche 935 with pop-up headlights. I didn’t realize it required dozens of impossible to find specialized tools and the headlight mechanism looks like Porsche hired Rube Goldberg.
Hobbies and interests:
My passions are cooking, body boarding, surfing and fishing on the Jax beach pier, fast cars, riding the Baldwin Trail in my road bicycle, and building big sand castles with my kids. I love to travel and bring my Hub BZ body board along.
