It’s been a long time since I have enjoyed a new experience as much as last Saturday evening at First Coast Comedy.  So much fun, and the people are wonderful!  I walked in and was immediately greeted by Madeleine, an owner and comedian, who was bubbly and friendly and so happy to see us. Getting drinks from the bar, I chatted with the bartender, Juan, a budding improv comedian. He recommended that we also attend the free midnight show featuring ‘’up and coming’’ comedians like him.  Way cool! 

Performing that night in the regular show were Madeleine, Alex, Michael, and Dave, the host. Once we were in our seats, the show started.  Audience participation is huge – if you want your 5 minutes of fame, you can volunteer and be part of the show.  I did, and loved it!  OMG, these comedians are so quick-witted!  Dave outlined a scene and then randomly pointed to one of the comedians to start/continue the story.  How they were able to keep the story going in such a crazy fashion blows my mind.  The laughter was constant, the jokes hilarious. I went home that night on a high, smiling from ear to ear as I remembered the skits and the amazing comedians who entertained us. 

This is truly a fun place!  Drinks and tickets are reasonable, the staff is so friendly, and the laughter is non-stop.  The show we saw was improv, which is different from stand-up.  Check out their schedule for the different shows. 

Thanks so much to all the wonderful people at First Coast Comedy.  We will be back!  I highly recommend them if you want to have a super fun, different evening.
