Welcome to the Neighborhood—I’m here at the Castle, by the edge of the Sea! The beach is just a couple blocks over yonder but it’s hot as crap outside, so me and Ms. Gibson will sit in the air conditioning and enjoy ourselves. I’m delighted to play some tunes for you today and the cool thing about this is, you can save this set to play in the magical hour just before Happy Hour on your favorite day.
This week I’m gonna lift you up, then put you down, but not before you spin around. So glad you’re here and I love that you return each week for your dose of Folky Bluesy storytelling MUSIC.
This week’s set list:
Hard Times—Gillian Welch
Nope! Hard Times ain’t gonna rule my mind, Brother!
Conversations with The Angels. Debi Jean
“You’re not Cinderella sitting in the ashes in the dark…..”
Boots of Spanish Leather. Bob Dylan
If you really have to leave, go ahead and send me the Spanish boots to remember you by. Just to let you know. I’m leaving, too.
Well, That’s it for this week. Thanks for tuning in. I’d love it if you would like and share my videos. I’m starting to get some traction in my neighborhood and around the world. I’m doing my part to build positive content on this crazy internet and it’s FREE.
Peace Love and Live Music Forever.

I’m a late-blooming guitar-wielding singer-songwriter who recently came down from the mountains to retire at the beach. I didn’t know I wanted to be a rock star until I was 63. At the time I was sundowning my CPA practice that I started in 1983. You do the math. Anyway, I got so hooked on music that it changed my life.
I’ve learned that I operate on both sides of my brain, both analytically & creatively and that’s pretty handy. It’s such a rush to write a song, such a cool way to express one’s self. My muse is a friendly butterfly that flits by from time to time with a song story. Gotta dig that! So I’m busting at the seams to share my JOY of music with others.
That’s why I created The Debi Jean Show. I get to have fun doing covers and originals and I chit chat a little. I have other local musicians as guests which helps plug into the amazing music scene here in Atlantic Beach. I have found a new purpose in life and it suits me to a tee. I live in a beautiful place, I get to play music—life is good.
