David Fain, born Californian, raised Floridian, who found his true inspiration in the untamed beauty of South Florida’s Everglades, is a photographer whose lens captures the essence of nature’s wildness.
Growing up immersed in the wonders of the Everglades, David’s passion for the outdoors was ignited by his father’s love for wildlife. From a young age, he honed his artistic skills, sketching the landscapes and creatures that surrounded him. It wasn’t until he received an old camera as a gift that David’s latent passion for photography blossomed into a full-fledged pursuit.
For the past two decades, he has dedicated himself to showcasing the majesty of Florida’s wilderness through his lens, drawing inspiration from the techniques of plein air painting and the mastery of light exemplified by Ansel Adams. With a belief that every image should tell a story and evoke a lingering sense of wonder, David’s photography reflects his deep connection to the natural world.
Alongside his photographic endeavors, David shares his love for his home state as a licensed tour guide in St. Augustine. Together with his wife Debbie, David cherishes time spent with their large, native Floridian family, indulging in music, particularly playing the acoustic guitar, and advocating for the conservation of Florida’s precious natural resources.
