We are excited to announce a new culinary experience at The Addison on Amelia Island! Stephen Fries and Chris Bartlett will host “Worth Tasting” the weekend of October 20 – 23, 2023. Stephen and Chris have hosted Worth Tasting, the culinary walking tour of downtown New Haven in CT for 15 years. They are on the Board of the International Association of Culinary Professionals. Stephen is Professor Emeritus of Hospitality Management. He spent 36 years as professor and coordinator of the hospitality management programs. He is also a food columnist for several newspapers. Chris is co-founder and CEO of GEM Advertising and Poetic Sunset Escapes that can be found on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

This is an all-inclusive culinary weekend creating food boards, holiday boards, farmers market tour, downtown Fernandina Beach walking tour with drinks and small bites at select locations, cookbook market at a local bookstore, and unique dining experiences at two of Fernandina Beach’s fabulous restaurants.

Spend the weekend in historic downtown Fernandina Beach, FL on Amelia Island learning the secrets of creating food boards to enjoy at the inn as well as ideas to take home to share and prepare for family and friends. The culinary weekend includes a 3-course breakfast each morning at the inn, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, an evening social hour with complimentary beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the inn, and dinner Friday night at a local brewery and Sunday night at Espana Restaurant and Tapas.

Distinguished by its virtuosity, probing musical insight, and impassioned, fiery performances, the Ariel Quartet has garnered critical praise worldwide for more than twenty years.

Formed when the members were just teenagers studying at the Jerusalem Academy Middle School of Music and Dance in Israel, the Ariel was named a recipient of the prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award, granted by Chamber Music America in recognition of artistic achievement and career support.

Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2023, the Quartet serves as the Faculty Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where they direct the chamber music program and present a concert series in addition to maintaining a busy touring schedule in the United States and abroad.
