Linda Farber. Hi, I’m Linda Bevilacqua Farber, and I’m thankful to enjoy a fulfilling career as a Spanish teacher at the Lower Schools at Bolles. As well, I’m an Actress with First Coast Talent, and have a Voice studio in my home for Voiceover projects. I came to the First Coast in 1980 to attend Flagler College, and found paradise up here. I attended Middle and High School down in Plantation, having moved to Florida from New York in 1973.
Summer is travel time! Surf trips to tropical places, and practicing Spanish is my joy. This summer we went to Portugal and Spain, so I got to learn a new Romance language. As well, I volunteer most Saturdays as a Surf Coach for our Duval Special Olympics Surf Team. They are so awesome, and it’s wonderful to see their joy in surfing and competing. I’m involved with Sisters of the Sea, and love meeting up to surf and share time together. I grow plumerias, and make leis that I drop off at McGraw Hospice center, or share with friends.
Surfing is truly my joy. I surf almost every day that we are lucky enough to have waves, and love to share the stoke with others. I go on at least 3 surf trips a year, and my husband knows that instead of jewelry, a plane ticket is all I need. Also, cooking and spending time with our fabulous adult kids fills my heart.
As a former Flight Attendant for Pan American World Airways, I was fortunate to travel the world, and meet some pretty cool people along the way. My favorite view is out a plane window in the clouds.
I have lived in a few places, and coming home to the First Coast is so relaxing. The beautiful area, wonderful friends and fun surf make life great!
