The best little art walk in town, for 14+ years, established in 2007.
In loving memory of our founding members:
Alice M. Gartland
January 27, 1922 – May 6, 2021
Linda H. Stewart
October 28, 1957 -August 15, 2021
The North Beaches Art Walk got its start in 2007 when Beaches art-industry professionals JoAnne Adams, Alice Gartland and Linda Stewart came together in hopes of recreating the popular art walk atmosphere of Downtown. Through their nurturing and dedication, the event grew considerably. And on every third Thursday of the month, the streets of the Beaches Town Center erupt with creativity. What was once a small pool of carefully selected artists has now become a bubbling ocean of art, a place where woodworkers commingle with mixed media designers and musicians play into the night. Welcoming to locals and out-of-towners alike, to say it’s a communal experience.
It is a free event held the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 9 pm. Featuring many local visual artists and live performers, NBAW is held in Beaches Town Center-where Atlantic Blvd meets the Ocean. The overall mission of Art Walk is to expose the community to the vast number of local Artists right here at the Beaches. Talent from all over Jacksonville shows at the North Beaches Art Walk. With over 50+ participating artists, NBAW is a diverse art destination and shopping experience for the entire family. Local venues in Beaches Town Center set the backdrop for this great monthly destination and community gathering.
The North Beaches Art Walk is a monthly event orchestrated by the North Beaches Art Walk Association, a nonprofit organization 501 (c)(3) based in Atlantic Beach, FL. Since its beginning in October of 2007, the North Beaches Art Walk has continued to receive positive support from the community and has an ever-growing list of participating merchants and artists.
Looking forward to seeing you!
