Robert Brovont has lived through adversity that shouldn’t befall anyone, yet his resiliency has allowed him to stay strong and bring a perspective to his family and his friends and his community that is nothing short of heroic. Through his business, Eleven Dishes, Brovont creates an awe inspiring culinary experience to his clients that are unmatched anywhere in the world.

What’s your name and what fills your time?

Robert Brovont is my name. I have a 11-year-old daughter and I am a single father (widowed) and a small business owner. I was born and raised right here on the First Coast. I went through school in Ponte Vedra graduating from Nease High School.

Anything special going on for this summer?

I have recently fallen in love with the Florida Keys, so my focus is taking Eleven Dishes from the First Coast to the Keys. I want to be able to travel with our business.

What keeps you busy these days?

I stay busy with my daughter and the business mostly. In my off time I play music (guitar) and or fish at the beach.

What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?

I am very spontaneous and ready to pack up and leave quickly to go on a trip to somewhere new.

How do you like living on the First Coast?

This Is my home and I love it. It’s paradise. I have lived on A1A my whole life here and the beach is by far the best part.

Anything else that you would like to tell the community?

My wife believed in numbers having special meanings. Sadly, she passed at 11:11 p.m., which just happened to be one of those numbers she felt strongly about. So I decided to rebrand under the name Eleven Dishes to honor her memory.
