Linda Reineman Olsen – “As an artist, I strive to continually grow and experiment with different techniques and mediums. I find it exciting to explore new ideas and new techniques. Growing up in California, my family spent many years sailing on the west coast, influencing me to paint images of the sea. As a child, I would spend hours digging in tide pools and diving through the surf and kelp. It was magical, and I never took its beauty for granted.

The fascination with the sea, and the peace it gives me, is a constant inspiration for many of my paintings. I seek to create, on canvas, this romantic vision of the ocean and its wonders. The lore of Mermaids, and growing up with five sisters, have inspired me to paint these underwater divas in a modern light. Living by the ocean now has also inspired me to create images about the beach life I live.

Linda is a Professional Photographer by trade who specializes in weddings and portraits. Her award-winning images and coffee-table books keep her extremely busy. Her artwork has been featured in many publications and in 2009, she was internationally published in the Silvershotz Journal of Fine Art Photographers. She is represented by galleries in California and Florida. Her work was displayed in Times Square in New York City for an art event in 2012.

She devotes time to teaching painting to seniors in her community, has mentored several artists and photographers, and has been involved in many art events, shows and charities over the last decade.
