Conor is in his 13th year with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and enjoys flying paramotor on his days off. Eddie is a former member of the United States Coast guard and recently relocated to Florida from Arizona.

Thanks for your time. So tell us in what part of the First Coast do you reside now and how long have you lived there?

Conor has been in Jax Beach for 11 years. Eddie has recently moved to Fernandina Beach.

Why and how did you get started?

Conor and Eddie both share a passion for aviation. After training together for their tandem instructor certification, they decided to grow a business flying in Fernandina Beach. 

What aspect of your business are you passionate about?

Sharing the magic of flight with other people.

How did you get the idea or concept for your business?

Eddie had a similar business in Arizona and he decided to move to Florida and partner with Conor. 

From the outset, what would you say was your mission?

We both wanted to take a hobby that we were very passionate about and turn it into a business. “If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.”

What are your goals for the company?

We would like to share this sport with others and to safely train people to become confident paramotor pilots. 

When did you start your business?

2022

What made you choose to operate your business in its current location?

Ferndina Airport provides the area needed for takeoff and landing. It also has great proximity to the coastline and offers beautiful views of the surrounding areas. 

Can you give us a brief background on the service you offer and the people you serve?

We offer discovery tandem flights for those who want to experience powered paragliding. We also offer training courses for those who are ready to transition to flying solo. 

What is a unique attribute/aspect/quality/feature about your business?

Barefoot flyers, PPG is one of the only places around to offer tandem paramotor flights. 

How many employees make it happen at [we’ll insert your business name}

Two for now.

How do you advertise your business?

So far social media and word of mouth, but we plan on expanding. 

To what do you attribute your success?

We are just getting started. 

Does your company help with or get involved in any community projects?

Not yet

Personal hobbies or interests? Family?

Conor has a wife and a newborn. Eddie has a wife, 2 kids and 3 grandchildren. Finding paramotor is their main hobby. 

What’s the best thing for you about living on the First Coast?

The beach life.
