This video started when Guitar Instructor Patrick Rose of Atlantic Beach contacted me. He said there was this Custom Guitar Builder, Joseph Speckman of Atlantic Beach, who was in need of a video to market his services on YouTube.
And so it all started. I watched all the videos on YouTube of custom guitar builders, and I noticed two things. First, all the guitars had light reflections bouncing off the soundboard, which was very annoying, and second, the sound was marginal at best.
So my goal was to feature just the guitars and have excellent sound. I went for a very stylized look, and as you can see, it worked out quite nicely. Just like Joe, I strive for excellence. About Joe and his guitars, they are entirely handmade. Joe uses a variety of different woods, and each guitar is individually tuned to achieve optimal sound.

I started staging photos at the age of six. I hung a Morton pot pie pan upside down from a tree with a fishing line and took a nighttime photo of what else? A UFO. Through the years, my interest in capturing images took me to video. I created, shot, and produced several shows seen on local cable. I worked in production at WTLV-12, where I was the news Floor Director and Lighting Director. Also, I was a news videographer at both 12 and WAWS-30. I was mentored by a pro-Hollywood shooter (Homeland, Ozark) on how to get the best composition and lighting. Now I’m bringing all these skills to photography and I love it.
