ANNOUNCING:   LAUNCH DATE AUGUST 4, 2020 FOR NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK

DO YOU KNOW ME? POEMS ABOUT THE SEA is a book of playful poetry, imaginative illustrations and science facts for children. It highlights sixteen animals to promote a child’s curiosity about their natural world. Kids guess the marine animal each poems is describing through rhyming riddles. Colorful illustrations, science facts and glossary words are included.

DO YOU KNOW ME? POEMS ABOUT THE SEA was written by the TWINKYs. It is a group of five local women writers whose goal to share love of the ocean and its creatures with children in a joyful way. Each author brings her own special voice and expertise to these delightful poems. Lucy Cortese, Jeannie Fredrick, Tish Hubbard, Kathy Triebwasser, Mary Zirakparvar are our authors; Tish is the illustrator.

This is the perfect picture book for children who like guessing games. The rhyming poems about sea animals are smart and interactive. Parents and children will love reading them aloud as kids solve the riddles. Each poem invites the reading to Guess Who I Am?

DYKM?  received glowing reviews from six scientists and educators for scientific accuracy and literary style. This picture book combines literature and science, creating a learning experience both educational and fun.

Teachers, parents and young readers will enjoy DYKM?, a book for children from pre-school to elementary grades…and the young at heart. The  book is available: on Amazon,  in local bookstores, or www.twinkybooksjax.com.  Follow us on Facebook at Twinky Books.
