What’s your name and what fills your time? Tell us a little about your background story and how you got here (First Coast).
My name is Cristina Dallas. I moved to the First Coast three years ago from Romania, bringing along my daughter. I’ve been a journalist since I was 17, starting at a local newspaper in my hometown. I used to be a TV presenter and producer of my show in Romania, where I interviewed notable figures such as the Prince of Romania, state secretaries, and Oscar nominees. These days, I’m a Broadcast News Producer in the U.S. at News 4JAX, occasionally joining Romanian live newscasts via Skype to discuss world politics.
Anything special going on for this summer?
This summer, I’m focusing on my passion for painting. I love creating art that reflects the beauty of the First Coast and the vibrant nature. It’s a wonderful way to unwind and express myself creatively.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
In addition to painting, I love spending time with my two dogs, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying the beach. I used to play the piano and violin, and I’m considering picking them up again.
What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?
Many might not know that when I was in Romania, I was often the master of ceremonies at fashion and music festivals, where I had the chance to engage with lively audiences and connect with talented artists from around the world. Additionally, I presented special TV shows, including festive editions like Christmas specials. These experiences were incredibly rewarding and are some of my most cherished memories.
How do you like living on the First Coast?
I love living on the First Coast! The best part is the sense of community and the amazing people who make it feel like home. The natural beauty of the area and the warm, welcoming atmosphere are unbeatable.

I’m grateful to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community. Let’s continue to share our stories and uplift each other, making the First Coast an even more wonderful place to live.
