What’s your name and what fills your time?
Coach Kevin Brown
38 years of teaching Marine and environmental science at Fletcher HS.
Head Coach of several sports ( Football, Soccer, Baseball, Track, Girls Basketball). Retired in 2021. Lived at the Beaches my whole life.

Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
Beyond educating the community, I enjoy traveling and diving ( just got back from Machu Picchu and Galapagos). I am a big advocate for maintaining a quality of life in our community. Currently a volunteer/field supervisor for Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol ( BSTP ).

I organize several Beach Cleanups throughout the year with groups and days that the entire community can participate. I organize sea oat planting for the enhancement of the Dune ecosystem.

What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?
I like to think I have a voice in our community for maintaining a Beach eco quality of life. I do a lot of outreach education on sea turtles and the importance of our Dunes, very rewarding.
Anything else that you would like to tell the community?
I grew up at the beach, absolutely love living here and I want everyone to enjoy the beach but let’s leave it Clean, Dark and Flat so marine life ( especially turtles and shore birds) can continue to nest and thrive in our Dunes.
