What’s your name and what fills your time?
Hi!! My name is Heatherley Bloom Doan and I am a full time wedding, portrait and real estate photographer. My husband is my rock and our kiddo just turned 21 and left the nest to move to Colorado. Our two dogs FIn and Ripley are always keeping us busy, especially Ripley who is addicted to Brewhound!
Anything special going on for this summer?
This summer was full of fun in the sun! I am usually a little slower in the hotter months with photography so I was able to enjoy time with my family and lots of beach days.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
I spend a lot of time doing beach things, like riding my bike, paddle boarding, and boating. I just started to paint as a hobby and I can’t get enough of it. It clears my mind so much. You purchase some of my photography and paintings at the Atlantic Beach Art Market. When it’s football season I am cheering on Ohio State or screaming in the stands at the Jags games. Football is my life!
What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?
I have a Photography clothing line and I mentor other photographers that are starting out. My journey was tough, not that it’s supposed to be easy but I really enjoy helping other people with photography. I don’t believe in competition. I believe every artist has their own eye. It really makes me happy to see others succeed.
How do you like living on the First Coast?
There is something about the beach air that just makes me so happy. I love how laid back everyone is. Even on rainy days, I am so happy to live here. I especially love our beach community. I went to Fletcher so this is home. My husband and I just recently got a golf cart and it has been so fun to cruise around even if it’s just to get coffee from Southern Grounds.
Anything else that you would like to tell the community?
If you need pictures, I am your girl! I love what I do to my core. From weddings to family sessions, your memories are mine too! I am so thankful to live in a community where supporting locals really means that. If I can support you in any way, I would love to connect. If you see me around, come say Hi!
