Welcome to 90 Days Of Summer!
What’s your name and what fills your time?
I’m Chris Wooten and I have many pans in my fire these days! From owning and operating several restaurants, my wife Deanna and I run the Safe Harbor enterprises and Sliders Oyster Bar.
Anything special going on for this summer?
We spent 3 years building our dream home, it was our first summer being able to enjoy living there so we just kinda hung out. The girls went to Taylor Swift in London, but I stayed home with the dogs.
How do you like living on the First Coast?
I love living on the First Coast. I’m a Neptune Beach boy through and through. I wish we had better surf, but I wouldn’t trade our quality of life for anything.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
Surfing will always be my passion. As I’ve gotten older I’ve accumulated a lot of injuries, I’ve also accumulated 5 kids and a couple of businesses, so I can’t get in the water like I used to. Our family trained Jiu Jitsu and Judo for years. We love following UFC, the Gators, and of course The Jags. I would say our main interest always revolves around the ocean. Surfing, fishing, and cooking seafood. My daughter Channing plays volleyball for Fletcher and club ball, so that’s pretty much year-round.
Anything else that you would like to tell the community?
Keep our beach clean, keep our ocean clean, and look out for each other. Support local businesses and eat local seafood !!! Check on your neighbors, friends, and family.
