One of Jacksonville’s most respected members of the surf community, a successful businessman, AND a Porsche enthusiast, Kim can more than likely be found enjoying music during Springing The Blues, very close to the Brumos Racing pits during the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona or in the surf line up during any swell conditions that produce fun surf.

How do you like living on the First Coast?

What can one say?  Susie and I and most of our family are blessed to have been born here.  The First Coast is an awesome place to live.

It offers access to some of the best beaches on the east coast and the St. John’s River and so many outdoor attractions that there always is something fun to do.  It’s large enough have such things as its own NFL football team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and world class healthcare serving as a major destination for the Mayo Clinic. Yet, the First Coast is still small enough to give it that hometown local feeling with a lower cost of living and wonderful, down to earth folks.

Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?

My first interest is my family and friends.  As I mentioned most of us are First Coast natives and love living here.  I am a life long surfer and lover of our oceans as most of us are.  It’s hard to believe, but I have been at it for over 50 years.  I have about 15 short and longboards in my garage these days.  Just can’t seem to part with most of them.  I also enjoy motorsports and have a passion for Porsches, in particular, having grown up as a fan of Brumos Racing.  In addition to these, I still love what I do as a professional, as well as play golf, bike ride, and occasionally, travel when I can.

Anything else that you would like to tell the community?

We have a wonderful place that we call the First Coast.  It is rich with history, beauty, wonderful folks, and lots of fun things to do and explore and just plain to be thankful for.  Let’s always strive to hold onto our special identity, quality and other many assets, including our oceans and beaches, waterways and outdoors, in particular.  If we stay true to ourselves and love of our community, then we’ve really got something!
