What’s your name and what fills your time?
Nadia Hionides. I have served as the principal of The Foundation Academy since 1988. I support and share loving interactions with my students, their families, and my teachers and staff. The purpose of these interactions is to grow together in knowledge and wisdom toward becoming effective citizens in our community.
Anything special going on for this summer?
We have a summer camp that serves our community who have economic needs and families that need affordable places to have a creative STEAM camp for their children.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
I am a visual artist as a hobby. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and in my spare time I support others through my church community. I am also a wife, sister, mother, and grandmother to six grandchildren. I enjoy being with them as often as I can.
What’s one thing (funny, different, cool) that many might not know about you?
I swim every day.
How do you like living on the First Coast?
I am very blessed to live on the First Coast. I love water and I love being around water and I love the sweet temperament of the people in my community.
Anything else that you would like to tell the community?
We need to be loving and kind to each other, no matter how different we are.
