I remember seeing Donna’s art at The Atlantic Beach Arts Market for the first time and thought “Wow, I can’t wait to meet the person that created this vibrant art”. The colors she uses invigorate my soul and make me want to create. We are lucky to have her artwork and the positivity that she brings to the arts market. What type of mediums do you use?
I use a mixed media combo of acrylic paint, pastels, markers and various pouring mediums.
Where is your work space and what brings out your creativity?
My favorite work space in in my home studio in PV. I wear my headphones and crank up my favorite reggae tunes!
Do you have a favorite piece you’d like to talk about?
My Favorite piece is called Peace’s of Me, it’s a big peace sign ☮️. It started out as Pieces of Me. I created all different stages of my life and who I am. As I continued to paint I thought how it takes to be at this point in my life to find peace. So I named it Peace’s of me.
How is your personality reflected in your work?
I am a very happy person and my goal is to bring my happiness in my art to peoples home. You can never have too much happiness!
How do you overcome creative blocks?
When I have a creative blocks I journal, walk on the beach and of course listen to music.
Are there any spaces or designers that have inspired or influenced you?
Lots of inspiration! Steve Martin, Keith Haring , Andy Warhol to name a few!
