Annie Dukes is a femme fronted rock band out of Florida. Their sound is a mixture of 70s rock with 90s rock/grunge tones saturated with three part harmonies, heavy rifts and a driving melody.

Annie Dukes bring a Grunge/Rock sound to Jax PorchFest on November 9, 2024.

Tell us in what part of the First Coast do you reside now and how long have you lived there?

We are based out of Jacksonville, Florida and Saint Augustine. Most of us have lived here all of our lives.

When did you know you had an interest in music?

Each of us started playing and writing music at very early ages , and music was an intricate part of our childhoods.

Did you start with any specific instrument and migrate to other instruments?

Cassidy has been singing and performing since she was 15. Emma has been performing and writing since she was 11. Mike has been playing drums for 24 years. Julie plays multiple instruments and graduated from Berklee.

Are you currently in a band (or bands)?

Yes. Our Band is called The Annie Dukes.

Who is your favorite musician or what musician influenced you the most?

We all have different influences and backgrounds from rock, blues, jazz, soul, hip hop and reggae that all mixes together to influence our sound.

Are there any specific memories or highlights of your career that you would like to tell us about?

One of our favorite memories was having the opportunity To open for ZZ Top for two nights!

What area bands or musicians are at the top of your list to go out to hear?

El Castillo, Coyboi, Kairos Creature Club and Fortune Child.

Do you have a favorite venue that you enjoy playing locally?

The Florida Theatre.

Do you have any gigs coming up to tell our readers about?

Well, of course we are performing at Jax PorchFest on November 9, but we are coming home from a long fall tour and we are going to take the rest of the year off to focus on writing and recording so we can release new music in early 2025.

What is the best way for musicians to network?

We think touring and social media are the best ways to network.

Are there any local venue owners/managers that you would like to rave about?!

We would love to give a shout out to Brian and Paul of Pierre’s Club in Saint Augustine. They love and take care of all the musicians that play there. And that is one of the most fun spots to play locally!

If you had a question you would like to ask another musician what would it be?

Do you have any spare change?!

What’s the best thing for you about living on the First Coast?

We love the community.

Where and how can folks learn more about you and/or your band? Links to your website?
