What’s your name and what fills your time?
Vicki Bost Hollingsworth – Family first… My husband Hal, daughter Rachel & mom Judy are first, then extended out to siblings & their children, along with my close friends. Work, continuing 35 years of live music but a total of 45 years of music/entertainment. A short summer break from my 20 years of substitute teaching at our excellent Beach schools and if there is any other time, arts, crafts, concerts & other live music.
Anything special going on for this summer?
Helping my daughter with her impending wedding in November. Pool time. Trying to spend some relaxing time around the ole homestead.
How do you like living on the First Coast?
Well, I’m 65 years old & I’ve only spent about 3 years away, so I would say …I love it. We are a beach family, 3 generations …. 9 members are Fletcher High School grads (plus 3 others that attended a few years). I have lived in my same home in South Jax Beach for 38 years, my parents current home, is my dad’s parent’s home & has been in our family since 1939.
Any hobbies or interests worth telling us about?
Mostly what I mentioned earlier, music, art, crafts, festivals, concerts, art shows, family & kids. I love spending time with kids, nieces & nephews & great nieces & nephews and my friend’s 2 boys (my adopted grandsons) that I spend time with. I have been involved with local businesses, and some not so local. I love Melaleuca products, and promote them all as much as I can, I recently became a wine ambassador for a company out of California/France, Boisset, and I have learned so much about wine and people.
Anything else that you would like to tell the community?
I love my life, yes sure I have had my ups & downs, but I wouldn’t trade it. I love my family, I love being involved with our community, reuniting with longtime friends in the past several years, community involvement through my jobs in music and school, being able to lend my talents to local charities. I’m just a local who loves being here!
